Director of Programs and Education
Tami Vitebski is an experienced nonprofit professional with a deep passion for community engagement, program development, and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. With more than two decades of work supporting children, adults, and individuals with autism and other social needs, she brings a thoughtful, inclusive, and community-centered approach to every initiative she leads.
A CESP-certified Job Coach, Tami currently serves at the Winters Center for Autism, where she provides hands-on training and workplace skill development to young adults with IDD/Autism, supporting their growth toward successful and competitive employment. Her previous experience as an Administrative Coordinator strengthened her expertise in program logistics, digital communications, donor engagement, and campaign strategy—skills that now inform her leadership in education and community programming.
As Director of Programs and Education, Tami is committed to designing and implementing high-quality programs that bring together people from all walks of life—including the special needs community, families, students, young adults, seniors, and lifelong learners. Her vision centers on cultivating a vibrant “third place” within Celebrate St. James: a welcoming environment where community members can connect, explore their interests, and participate in enriching cultural, educational, and social experiences.
Tami plays a key role in advancing Celebrate St. James’ mission through fundraising efforts, including planning and executing events, building partnerships with local businesses and organizations, and expanding community support. She also facilitates volunteer opportunities that empower individuals to contribute their talents, strengthen community ties, and take active roles in sustaining the center’s growth.
She is deeply dedicated to highlighting the talents and contributions of local residents, students, and businesses—believing that community pride grows when people feel seen, valued, and connected.
A proud mother to Michelle and Charlie, and wife to her supportive husband Boris, Tami draws everyday inspiration from her family and from her love for the charming town of Saint James. She is honored to help preserve its history, creativity, and spirit through her work at the Celebrate St. James Cultural Arts Center.
With a Bachelor's Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Stony Brook University, a Paralegal Certificate from Hofstra University, and her CESP certification, Tami brings a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and compassion to her role. Her strong skills in program development, CRM systems, web design, content creation, event planning, and community partnership-building guide her commitment to providing meaningful, inclusive, and high-impact programming for the entire community.
