James Stewart and Frank Capra repeatedly proclaimed this holiday classic to be their personal favorite. This presentation will explore where the story originated and why James Stewart was reluctant to portray George. We will examine the complex backstory of how "It’s a Wonderful Life" came to fruition. What were the circumstances that turned an obscure lost film into a national treasure?
