Art Classes For Adults
Drawing and Painting Classes - Beginning in March
Instructor, Professor Beth Drucker is a Designer, Illustrator and Writer. She has taught at Parson’s The New School of Design, F I T, Nassau CC, the Art League of Long Island plus many others.
2 hour classes - 6 sessions - $175.00 - 11AM-1PM
Drawing: Tuesdays March 21st - April 25th
Painting: Wednesdays, March 22nd - April 26th
Painting
Learn to use various types of watercolor paints, and have fun! Classes are taught in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Just bring your supplies, reference photos to work from, and your enthusiasm for painting. We will be using various types of watercolor paints, learning basic techniques, how to use various watercolor supplies, and some basic color theory as well. You will not believe the progress you can make in six two hour sessions. Have fun while learning to paint. Skill level not important.
Drawing
Learn various drawing techniques and experiment with shading and perspective. We will cover the basics, so Skill level is not important, just bring supplies and your love of art. The most important part of learning the visual arts is “How to See”. This class is dedicated to teaching drawing in a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy what you can accomplish!
Painting Supplies

Watercolor pad at least 11” X 14

”Windsor & Newton™ Basic Gouache Tube Paint Set - Blk., Wht., Red, Yellow, and Blue, and an additional tube of Burnt Sienna.

At least three watercolor brushes to start. A flat wash brush, (about 3/4” wide) round brush size 6, and a small detail brush.

Rag, small sponge (make-up sponges are best)

Water container and paint palette.

Sketchbook at least 11” X 14”

Kneaded eraser and paper blending sticks
