Celebrate St. James proudly announces the resounding success of its youth theater production of Shrek Jr., presented this past weekend to two sold-out audiences.
This landmark production marked the first youth theater performance on the historic stage at the Celebrate St. James Center for the Arts, representing a meaningful milestone in the organization’s growing commitment to arts education, youth development, and community engagement. The performances highlighted the extraordinary talent, dedication, and enthusiasm of local young performers, resulting in an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.
The production was presented in collaboration with Lighthouse Repertory Theatre, the in-house resident theatre academy at Celebrate St. James, whose professional guidance and training helped bring this production to life.
“We are incredibly proud of our cast, creative team, and teaching artists for their work on this production,” said leadership at Celebrate St. James. “This milestone reflects the power of the arts to inspire, connect, and uplift our community.”
Building on this success, Celebrate St. James invites young performers to join its upcoming summer production of The Little Mermaid Jr. Registration is now open, offering students another opportunity to develop their skills and experience the magic of live theater.
