POSTPONED: Living History with Richard Smith
For the safety of our community, we are postponing this event until further notice.
It is our great honor and privilege to present Richard Smith, Mayor of Nissequogue and a 10th generation descendant of Richard “Bull” Smith at our first ‘Living History’ seminar series.
This FREE event will take place at noon on March 15th & 29th at the Calderone Theatre Building at 176 Second Ave. St. James.
Meet the man of our time who will relate the interesting, amusing, and sometimes tragic stories of some of his most colorful ancestors. Hear the real ‘bull’ story, and learn about the orangutan! Explore what life was like in Smithtown during the time of the Revolutionary War, and discover the connection between Smithtown, Garden City, and Moriches.
Bring your questions and test your knowledge about the real Smithtown! Refreshments will be served at both seminars. Please note that the seminar will take place on the second floor of the Calderone Theater, you must be able to walk a flight of stairs. If you have any questions please contact Celebrate St. James at 631-686-5644.
